Using the CBS Food Pantry

The food pantry is a member of the SNAP Outreach Program, which will help to assist eligible households through the food stamp application process and ensure they receive benefits to purchase additional food. A member of our staff is available every Tuesday from 10:00am-1:00pm to help clients and to answer questions about the food stamp process. Stop by or call, and we will be glad to help members of the community to answer your questions or even help you with the redetermination process.

Our food pantry is located at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1937 S. 50th Avenue in Cicero.  The church is on the northeast corner of 50th Avenue and 21st Street.  Please use the entrance on 21st Street.  We are open Tuesdays from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.  Our phone number is (708) 863-4913.

How our program works:

• Clients may use the Food Pantry every other week for a period of six months, or 13 times per year.
• Clients must be a resident of Cicero, Berwyn, Stickney, or Forest View.

In order to obtain food, clients need to bring:

• Photo identification
• Proof of residency (rent receipt, utility bills, official letter)
• Proof of dependents (birth certificates, recent school report cards)

The locations and hours of operation are subject to change.  The pantry closes for major holidays.  Please call us for the latest information.
